your curators
Now operating in our fifth space and celebrating three wonderful years in business! A lot has changed during this time. We are now a dedicated two-person team and are thrilled to be sharing a gorgeous showroom in the vibrant area of Uptown Victoria, BC, alongside the incredibly talented artist Joy Kinna. We feel so fortunate and excited to have the opportunity to operate, restore, re-envision, and showcase our unique pieces next to such a gifted artist.
Morgan Hass
Passionate about vintage and sustainability, Morgan skillfully marries her deep-seated passions together through her process of thoughtful vintage sourcing and meticulous restoration, all before finding lost pieces in their new forever homes where they truly belong. Her carefully curated collections will always maintain an unwavering focus on restored, high-end, rare, primitive, and wabi-sabi style pieces that bring their rich and compelling histories effortlessly into the homes they are graciously welcomed into.
Heather Cruickshank
Heather joined The Found Studio in the late winter of 2024, and since her joining, she has brought a fresh set of eyes, eagerness, new talents and skills, as well as, a passionate energy to our diverse collections. Her timing couldn’t have been more perfect, especially as we endured a significant number of changes and moves within a relatively short period.
Now, we are diligently focusing our attention on curating quality pieces and creating unique, one-of-a-kind furnishings through the art of restoration.
Heather, who serves as Morgan’s assistant but truly functions in a much more involved partner role, keeps everything organized and tidy. In addition to her organizational skills, she is also a hobby sewer, taking the time to mend, fix, and repair any items that may require such attention. With her keen eye for fashion, she brings a lot to the lost garments and our closets. Her continual practice and eagerness are allowing her restoration skills to improve daily.
The story of
The Found Studio by
What’s Lost And Found
What’s Lost and Found was officially created in the winter of 2020, after what started as a side hustle to fulfill Morgan’s creativity and her deep love and appreciation for vintage and sustainability.
As demand expanded and operations grew, The Found Studio was developed and established in downtown Victoria, in the summer of 2022. Morgan embraced change and thrived under pressure which led to her first storefront ‘showroom’ location situated on Fort Street Downtown. The showroom has been a big investment, to say the least, and the showroom was an offering Morgan wanted to allow clients the opportunity to test, see and touch furniture, objects, lighting and more. Prior to this Morgan created a unique operation that is (mostly) manageable for a one-woman show. Morgan consciously sources curations by housing them in a shipping container for upcoming collections. This allows her space to build out the slow and intentional curations she shoots at the studio. She quickly outgrew that studio space and alas The Found Studio showroom was born.
With new seasons come change and in January 2024, Morgan moved into a warehouse which led her business to grow rapidly, thus, leading her to her now dream showroom space in Victoria, BC alongside Joy Kinna Studio Inc.
